Introduction of Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Analysis

The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, established in 2008, provides high-quality education with a focus on industrial research, eco-friendly chemistry, and green chemistry methodologies. The department is equipped with sophisticated equipment and a vast collection of books and journals, supporting student development.

The Pharmaceutical Analysis department, established in 2007, focuses on pharmaceutical analysis and quality control. Students gain expertise in titrimetric, spectroscopic, and chromatographic methods.

Both departments offer strong foundations in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, and more, while developing technical competencies. The department’s faculty has published over 50 research articles and actively contributes to research in medicinal chemistry, especially in areas like cancer, diabetes, inflammation, and microbial diseases.

State-of-the-art facilities like HPTLC, HPLC, FTIR, and UV spectrophotometers provide students with hands-on experience. The department's goal is to achieve global standards in drug design and synthesis.

Lab Facilities & Instrumentation

The Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Analysis department is equipped with several advanced laboratories designed to provide students with hands-on experience in pharmaceutical sciences. These labs include multiple Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratories for drug synthesis and chemical analysis, Pharmaceutical Analysis Laboratories focused on drug quality control, and a dedicated R&D Laboratory for research and development in drug formulation. Each lab is equipped with modern equipment and technologies to support research, experiments, and analysis, ensuring a comprehensive learning environment for students pursuing careers in the pharmaceutical industry.

The following laboratories are available in the Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Pharmaceutical Analysis department: Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory-1, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory-2, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory-3, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Laboratory-4, Pharmaceutical Analysis Laboratory-1, Pharmaceutical Analysis Laboratory-2, and the R & D Laboratory. These labs are equipped with modern equipment and technologies to ensure a comprehensive and hands-on learning experience for students.
