Introduction of Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry & Analysis
The Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, established in 2008, provides high-quality education with a focus on industrial research, eco-friendly chemistry, and green chemistry methodologies. The department is equipped with sophisticated equipment and a vast collection of books and journals, supporting student development.
The Pharmaceutical Analysis department, established in 2007, focuses on pharmaceutical analysis and quality control. Students gain expertise in titrimetric, spectroscopic, and chromatographic methods.
Both departments offer strong foundations in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, Biochemistry, and more, while developing technical competencies. The department’s faculty has published over 50 research articles and actively contributes to research in medicinal chemistry, especially in areas like cancer, diabetes, inflammation, and microbial diseases.
State-of-the-art facilities like HPTLC, HPLC, FTIR, and UV spectrophotometers provide students with hands-on experience. The department's goal is to achieve global standards in drug design and synthesis.
